Mon Sep 21, 2009
Bob - no, just an ex-Brit!
Is it reasonable for airlines to charge for bags, meals and other services?
Mon Sep 21, 2009
I would gladly pay an airline surcharge just to be left alone on my flight, i.e spared B-movies on back-seat TVs, piped-in music or multiple headphone choices, sodas, cushions and what-have-you ! Airlines should have the motto: provide fast flights on time, without tarmac waiting, and scrub all …
A year after the financial meltdown, what frustrates you the most about how the response to it has been handled by two administrations in Washington and by Wall Street?
Fri Sep 11, 2009
Can't our government see that throwing cash at problems - bank bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, stimulus packages and the rest, shrinks the value of the dollar, balloons the federal deficit, and guarantees future inflation ? Takes me back to post World War 1 Germany, when you needed a barrow-load of …
What do you think of the 150-year fraud sentence for Bernard Madoff?

Sun Nov 2, 2008

Live vote: Do you think bailout will work?
Fri Oct 3, 2008
The House vote reminds me of the condemned man. When asked if he would rather be hanged or shot, he replied, "Neither of the above."
Who's to blame for the current economic crisis?
Mon Sep 22, 2008
Bush and his administration are clearly to blame. Their favoring big corporations and Wall Street have resulted in eight years of calamity, about to be unloaded upon the shoulders of the American taxpayers.
Do the steps being taken by the U.S. government restore your confidence in the economy?
Fri Sep 19, 2008
William Shakespeare in the 16th century, first warned us, in his immortal verse: Neither a borrower, nor a lender be; For loan oft loses both itself and friend, And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry. This above all: to thine own self be true,
